Energy Policy of Poland 2040
The programme of the Polish Energy Policy until 2040 sets the framework for the energy transition in Poland. The three pillars of the programme: Just Transition, Zero Emission Energy System and Good Air Quality, are divided into individual objectives and projects.
Each objective and project has specific tasks and financial resources needed to implement the changes. For example, for the project of transformation of coal regions - the support from EU funds amounts to approximately PLN 60 billion, the investment outlays for the implementation of offshore wind energy is approximately PLN 130 billion, for nuclear energy - approximately PLN 150 billion. PEP2040 will also provide 300 thousand new jobs, 300 sustainable energy areas or 1 million prosumers by 2030.

European Green Deal
In order to save the Earth and humanity from the climate changes that are taking place, the 27 countries of the European Union have committed themselves to transforming the EU area into a climate-neutral continent.
The European Green Deal will be funded by one-third of the €1.8 trillion invested in the NextGenerationEU Recovery Plan and by money from the EU's seven-year budget.
In order to use such sources of financing, local authorities must carefully prepare projects and programmes, showing, among other things, the medium- and long-term impact on the environment, the stability of the energy system, or the compatibility of planned investments with long-term EU state policies.

Zefir is implemented by the Interdisciplinary Department of Energy Analysis, the team has extensive experience in the energy industry (analysis, prediction, models, data management).

What is Zefir
Zefir is a set of analytical tools to support investment decisions in the areas of heating and electricity.
The Zefir system enables the decision-maker to plan the optimal energy transition for a given energy community, local authority, city, district, energy cluster, company or country as a whole.
The programme enables the development of a modernisation plan, investment timetable and indicates the most cost-effective options. It defines the optimal energy mix and the path towards it. The tool indicates e.g. what, where and when to build or decommission.
Zefir works on the basis of current data - hourly profiles of energy demand and generation, economic and environmental parameters of energy sources, defined legislative and market environment.

the preparation of documents related to the energy transition and climate change, and many others.
How does it work?
Roadmap for climate transformation and improving air quality
Simulation of the future will allow to choose the best way - on the basis of available information, an advanced simulator, using the computing power of supercomputers in the modern Computer Centre in Świerk, allows to analyse consequences of investment decisions and choose the one which is optimal.
